Rise was a new reality. A reality of meaningful aid projects, fashionable volunteering and the biggest dance event ever.
Rise was not just one thing or concept. It was a combination of meaningful aid projects, fashionable volunteering, and the biggest dance event ever. The goal was to inspire and mobilize young people; to have them take action and change the world, and at the same time earn a ticket for the biggest dance festival ever.

Jim Stolze had to explain this new form of volunteering at TEDxUNPlaza. This presentation was about storytelling. Stories are as old as the world itself. In ancient times they were used to teach us about good and evil, right and wrong… Story tellers of days past often used a story cabinet to illustrate their tales. For RISE we constructed a modern version of these cabinet. Nine painted panels explained the ins and outs of RISE in a multidimensional fashion.
